On April 29, the second international and Republican tourism Olympiad was held at S. Amanzholov EKSU on the ZOOM platform.

The Olympiad was organized by the Department of Economics and management, the travel company "Shanishkul Tur".

The Olympiad was dedicated to the excellent student of education of the Kazakh SSR and the USSR, people's teacher of the GPW, veteran of the second world war Kumash Nurgalievich Nurgaliev.

The initiator of the Olympics and moderated by associate Professor of Economics and management, Ph. D. EKSU named after S. Amanzholov of Gainiy Kasymovna Koishinova. The Olympiad was also attended by members of the Nurgaliev dynasty of teachers.

The main theme and purpose of the Olympiad is to increase the interest and knowledge in the field of tourism among students and students, as well as the development of professional and managerial competencies of travel companies in the conditions of turbulence in the tourism industry.

The Olympiad was held in two rounds: Round 1 - filling out applications and submitting projects to the competition (remote tour); round 2 – online presentation of projects.

The II international tourism Olympiad covered students of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia, where more than 60 teams from universities took part: S. Amanzholov EKSU, Kazakh University of international relations and world languages. Abylay Khan, Turan-Astana University, L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian national University, NARKHOZ University, UIB, Semipalatinsk medical University, Mongolian state University,Aktobe regional state University. Zhubanova, Kazakh-American free University, Kazakh agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin.

More than 20 students of secondary schools and colleges of Kazakhstan took part in the II Republican Olympiad on tourism.

At the end of the Olympiad, the winners and prize-winners were announced. The absolute leader of the Olympiad in tourism was the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian national University.
