Employees of the Eastern Research Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Non-ferrous Metals told students of the specialty "Life safety and environmental protection" about their multifunctional scientific organization.

A significant stage in mastering the future profession can be considered – the expansion of horizons in the Branch of the Republican State Enterprise, which improves and implements technologies and equipment that increase the scientific and technical level of production of non-ferrous and precious metals.

The excursion for the 3rd year students was conducted by the head of the Industrial Safety Department Elena Yakovleva. It is worth noting that the institute provides for the solution of such problems as the development and strengthening of the raw material base, the integrated use of mineral resources, saving material and fuel and energy resources, improving the quality and expanding the range of commercial products, environmental protection and industrial safety.

During the excursion, students got acquainted with the institute, its system, were able to see how ore crushing, equipment, enrichment, where ore mass flotation is carried out, and much more. The experience and achievements of the Eastern Research Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals are an excellent demonstration of the necessary skills and knowledge for their future professional activities and further education.
