29.05.2023 FORUM OF HISTORIANS-ETHNOGRAPHERS "THE SORROW OF THE PEOPLE, LEFT ON PAPER" In the East Kazakhstan University named after Sarsen Amanzholov in the framework of the international project " A lesson from history-a bow to the past", dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression and Famine, held a forum of historians and local historians. The event was attended by scientists EKU, Institute of History, staff of the State Archive of the Regional Department of digitalization and archives, members of working groups on the rehabilitation of victims of political repression. - The horrors of those years are very difficult to describe in words. Historical documents and facts testify to the tragedies of the Kazakh people of the past years. Nevertheless, with the help of such cognitive events we can revise the main moments of history, reveal and supplement important details. The main thing is that the issues raised here reached the consciousness of the younger generation. This is a responsible task, especially for historians and teachers," said Mukhtar Tolegen, Rector of Amanzholov University. The participants of the conference got acquainted with the book exhibition " A lesson from history-a bow to the past", organized by the scientific library named after B. Mamraev., and also watched the film "Memory, which will not be forgotten", presented by the State Archive of the Regional Department of digitalization and archives.
