In the framework of the international scientific-practical conference "Uvaliev readings" a meeting of the section "Theoretical and applied aspects of chemical science and education" was held.

The Chairperson of the section was Gulzhan Ekylkasova, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Ph.D., and Alua Maratkızy, Master of Chemistry, was the secretary.

The section was attended by the faculty, students, undergraduates, graduate students of universities in Russia and Kazakhstan.

The section was held at a high scientific and theoretical level. Worth to mention the scientific reports presented under the guidance of Natalia G. Bazarnova, a professor at the Altai State University. The reports were of an applied nature and dealt with the actual, to date, subject matter of Altai medicinal plants.

The students of the Department of Chemistry showed great interest, actively participated in the discussion of the presentations, they themselves presented scientific reports on the study of medicinal plants of Kazakhstan, gold-bearing deposits of East Kazakhstan, as well as educational issues.

Presented scientific reports of students, undergraduates, doctoral students of the Department of Chemistry were performed under the guidance of Dr. Pd M.M.Nykmukanova, Ph.D. G.Ye. Abylkasova, Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences B.S.Tantybaeva, B.K.Shaikhova, Z.S.Dautova.

The participants of the sectional meeting noted the topical research topics, voiced a number of proposals, and also expressed appreciation to the guests of the conference, the university management for organizing a scientific event and wishing further creative success.
