COMMITTEE FOR MATTERS CONCERNING YOUTH

The committee for Matters concerning youth (CMY) is a structural division of the university in the sphere of realization of the Public youth policy. CMY bears responsibility before the rector for a condition of the sphere of management, efficiency of committee activity and youth structures of the university and faculties, which was charged to CMY.

CMY is engaged in creation of appropriate conditions for inclusive development of the university students, increase in their spiritual, moral, intellectual potential, the social status, formation at students of patriotism, democratic culture and civil consciousness, consolidation of active youth around the idea of Independent Kazakhstan, the direction of energy of students to the constructive course.

Developing various projects, CMY is aimed to the integration of students into the public work, development of patriotism and social responsibility, promotion of the healthy lifestyle.

The main functions of CMY are:

CMY participates in various actions together with other youth organizations, such as a cell of a youth wing "Zhas Otan" within Nur Otan party, NPO League of Erudite Youth and others.
CMY conducts meetings for consideration of all questions concerning youth of the University listens to reports and reports of youth structures;
CMY issues Rules and methodical recommendations about the questions which are within its competence;
Organize work on patriotic education and promotion of the state symbols of RK among student's youth.

Some events became traditional such as "Talents of the first-year students", "Student's spring", "Ms. and Mr. of EKSU", the creative competition "Life without Tobacco, Life without Drugs", the student's intellectual game "ERUDITE", events devoted to public holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting with eminent persons (of politics, science, culture and sport), and also various sport competitions became traditional as well.
