The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience IAESTE was founded in January 1948 at the initiative of Imperial College London, with the support of ten other European countries The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, Association sans but lucratif (non-profit association), commonly known as IAESTE A.s.b.l. is an association of national committees representing academic, workplace and student interests.IAESTE serves 4,000 students, 3,000 employers and 1,000 academic institutions through professional internships abroad, social and intercultural admissions programmes, international networking and other career promotion and branding activities in more than 80 countries.
