The great Kazakh writer Mukhtar Auezov is the author of the world-famous novel-epic "Abai Zholy". He raised Kazakh artistic prose to the classical level. In this epic novel, Mukhtar Auezov comprehensively revealed the life of the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayuly, Kazakh national tradition. The narrative contains ethnographic, religious, cultural traditions of the people: transition to zhailau in summer, weddings and matchmaking, death and mourning, jute, elections of volosts, dominance in dispute, portraits of nature and hunting, and much more. These traditions contain all the age-old wisdom of the ancestors, their orders, relating to literally all aspects and stages of life: from birth to death.
